Emblemsvåg wins again!
Head of Design Tone Emblemsvåg won the top prize in one of the most exiting Urban Art Challenges in 2014.
Her mural at Grorud metro station impressed the jury into giving her an art grant for NOK 10 000 and a trip to the well renowned wine yard Campo Viejo in Spain. Here she met up with the famous artists Remed and Okuda, and got to see their art amongst the wines. To top the trip she toured Madrid in search for interesting street art.
Her mural is inspired by the architect behind Grorud underground station, Håkon Mjelva. Concrete is the main material, and the architecture of the station is characteristic for the 1960´s brutalism, now with a touch of colourful millenium pop-art moderism.
